About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in PHP, React, TypeScript, AWS, GraphQL, and TailwindCSS. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance web applications that drive business success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable and maintainable software solutions that align with modern architectural best practices.

This is a fully remote role; however, you must be available to work within New Zealand business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize fullstack applications using PHP, React, TypeScript, AWS, GraphQL, and TailwindCSS.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for web applications.
• Design and maintain APIs, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
• Utilize AWS cloud services for deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps methodologies.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Work with agile methodologies, participating in sprints, code reviews, and team discussions.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in fullstack development, with a strong focus on PHP, React, and TypeScript.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud Services, including Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, and S3.
• Proficiency in GraphQL, including designing and consuming GraphQL APIs.
• Strong experience with TailwindCSS, ensuring responsive and modern UI development.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in an agile environment.
• Ability to work remotely while staying aligned with New Zealand business hours.
