SAP IS-U Functional Lead – Auckland

Our client in the utilities sector is undergoing a digital transformation and needs an experienced SAP IS-U Functional Lead to guide process optimisation, configuration, and integration.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for driving enhancements in billing, device management, and customer service modules within IS-U. You’ll collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure platform integrity and future-proof operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end configuration of SAP IS-U modules (Billing, EDM, DM, CRM)
• Facilitate workshops, capture requirements, and write functional specs
• Oversee testing, UAT, and go-live activities
• Act as a SME for SAP utilities-specific best practices
• Support integration with third-party systems including SAP CRM and Billing Engines
• Provide leadership in project planning and solution architecture

Requirements:

• 7+ years of SAP experience, with 4+ years in SAP IS-U
• Proven delivery of at least one full lifecycle utilities project
• Strong functional knowledge of billing and customer engagement workflows
• Understanding of industry regulations and compliance in utilities
