We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect (Billing) to join a forward-thinking technology organisation delivering large-scale digital transformation projects across enterprise clients.
This is a strategic and highly influential role where you’ll lead the architectural design of complex billing and customer management platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with modern cloud and API-driven ecosystems. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and delivery partners to design solutions that drive operational excellence and customer experience innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design for complex billing and revenue management systems.
- Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient technical solutions aligned with architectural principles and industry best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between billing, CRM, and data platforms.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle — from concept through to implementation and optimisation.
- Define architectural standards, documentation, and governance frameworks to ensure solution consistency.
- Evaluate and introduce cloud-native capabilities, microservices, and event-driven architectures to enhance performance and resilience.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on platform modernisation, data strategy, and integration roadmaps.
Essential experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture, ideally within complex billing, payments, or customer systems environments.
- Strong understanding of billing processes, product catalogues, rating, invoicing, and revenue management workflows.
- Proven expertise in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and API-led integration (e.g., REST, GraphQL, or event-driven frameworks).
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale transactional systems with high data and performance demands.
- Proficiency with integration platforms or middleware such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Kafka.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging both technical and business audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Background in enterprise SaaS platforms or large digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD), microservices, or serverless architectures.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Architect Expert.
