About the Role:

As a Principal System Consultant at ANZ Talent Hub, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure solutions across various platforms. You will leverage your deep expertise in Linux, Windows Servers, VMware, AWS Cloud, and DevOps tools to enhance system performance, ensure high availability, and drive innovation. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for solving intricate technical challenges and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage robust IT infrastructure solutions across Linux, Windows, and cloud environments (AWS, VMware).
• Enhance system efficiency through performance tuning, automation, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Design, configure, and manage cloud-based solutions (AWS), including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, auto-scaling, and load balancing to meet application requirements.
• Develop and implement automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins to streamline operations and reduce human error.
• Oversee the deployment and management of virtualization (VMware) and containerization platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift) to ensure agility and scalability.
• Lead efforts in patch management, antivirus deployment, and system security measures to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Lead and mentor technical teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, fostering innovation, and driving productivity.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms, ensuring system resilience and uptime.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in system engineering or consulting with a focus on Linux, Windows Servers, VMware, and cloud systems (AWS). 5+ years of experience working for consultancies or vendor-side projects.
• Proficient in AWS Cloud Infrastructure, VMware, Linux, Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Bitbucket, IBM AIX, SAN Storage, and IBM Spectrum Protect.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing technical teams and projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving system uptime and performance.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Ability to work on client sites and adapt to different environments.
