Sales Director – Technology & Talent Solutions

As we scale, we're looking for a Sales Director to lead the commercial front of our business. This is a pivotal role, suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to build, grow, and win. 


About You

As Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for driving new business growth by identifying untapped opportunities, opening doors with prospective clients, and leading the end-to-end sales cycle. You will focus on building strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers across enterprise, mid-market, and public sector organisations.


This is a hands-on sales leadership role with a focus on consultative solution selling - particularly in high-demand areas like Salesforce, SAP, software engineering, testing, project delivery, and offshore support models.


You’ll work closely with our internal delivery teams to design tailored solutions, respond to client needs with agility, and ensure each engagement delivers measurable value.


Most importantly, you lead with strategy, empathy, and execution. You’re commercially astute, customer-focused, and driven by results - but equally mindful of building relationships that last.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a focused strategy for new client acquisition and revenue growth
  • Generate and pursue high-quality leads through outbound activity, referrals, and professional networks
  • Engage directly with C-level and senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and position relevant solutions
  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery through to negotiation and contract close
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape competitive service offerings aligned with client needs
  • Respond to tenders and proposals with well-articulated, commercially structured responses
  • Maintain an accurate and healthy pipeline with clear forecasting and reporting
  • Represent ANZ Talent Hub at relevant industry events and forums to build visibility and trust


Experience & Skills You Bring

  • 7+ years in new business development or sales within IT services, consulting, or recruitment
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing, developing, and converting new clients
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, or enterprise software solutions is a strong advantage
  • Strong communication and commercial negotiation skills
  • Self-directed, driven, and comfortable working without rigid structure
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is desirable
  • A strong understanding of the New Zealand business landscape, including enterprise and government sectors
